Aconites

Before all the snow I took this shot of some Aconites at Rutland Water at the time they made me look forward to spring but weather had other ideas.

Don't know the floor but its a lovely golden yellow colour there. I read they are called winter aconites and in the buttercup family!

So evocative for me as my aconite comes up with the crocus and snowdrops every spring - the first flowers to show. Can’t wait to see them!
