Well it's been a bit of emotional day. I've left the company that has employed me for the last 13 years. I was presented with this card which contained quite a bit of money and I even got a round of applause! I start my new job on Monday so it's going to be an interesting few weeks I suspect.

Leaving jobs is always bittersweet. I retired last year after 30 years in the same school and it just about killed me to say goodbye. Of course the darned virus made things a whole lot worse. It cut my last year of teaching short by 3 months and I didn't even get to say goodbye to my students or colleagues (we left for spring break on March 13th and never returned.) I wish you the best on your new adventure!
@dejongdd thank you. That can't have been easy for you. I'm fortunate that I will still see my ex colleagues as my new company is a customer of my old company!
