First Contact!

First sight of the harvest moon last night. The light falls fast at this point meaning it soon becomes impossible to expose the scene as the human eye sees the scene. This is a single frame with the moon still slightly over exposed as it rises from the clouds.
Serene, with the reflections adding so much.

@ggshearron @jgpittenger thanks the reflection is from the moon. It was pretty dark at this point so although there is only a small amount of moon showing its was bright enough to cast its reflection on the very still water.

@rjb71 Yes it was BBC East Midlands, not this shot though it was the one with the full moon. I reckon taken from Hambleton Point.
