The UK is "enjoying" an earlier summer heatwave. I popped down to Duxford to catch a few Warbirds as I have a new camera I just getting used to. This is the Normandy Spitfire MK912 spitting some flames on start up to warm things up a bit more! This Spitfire is based at Sywell near Northampton and proudly carries the markings of 312 Squadron (Czech) which it wore on D-Day flown by Miroslav ‘Tony’ Liskutin DFC. He was believed to be the first allied fighter pilot to land in France on June 6th 1944.
