We went to visit Peterborough Cathedral today this is one of the ceilings in this fantastic cathedral. I shot this with my 35mm Prime and it only just fitted in the frame I suppose I could have lied down but fought I might get a few strange looks :)
Fabulous! Beautiful ceiling and if this was hand held, Respect! A trick I have used in cathedrals is to set the timer for 2 seconds and just lay the camera on the floor and press the shutter button!
@wag864 Thank you Kas @redandwhite Thanks it was definitely hand held. I have another 10 shots not so well centred to prove it ;) @jetr Thank you :) @shepherdman Thank you :)
It always pays to look up. What a fantastic ceiling. I took a similar shot in the Queen Victoria building in Sydney of the dome ceiling. Know what you mean about needing to lie down, but same problem here in the QVB is now a shopping centre and I would have had some strange looks too if I was flat on my back taking photos, ha ha.
@onewing@jyokota Thanks both. I should probably point out I was standing next to my wife's wheel chair at the time. She had hobbled off to have a look at another area with my son so if I been lying on the floor people would probably think I'd fell out the chair.. :) Might have caused a stir when I got up and walked off!

@jetr Thank you :)
@shepherdman Thank you :)
I love the symmetry of this shot. fav.
But wait, you aren't immune to strange looks on poses we take on behalf of photography? :)
