5 minutes before destruction

Spotted this nice group of toadstools as we walked around Belton House gardens. Unfortunately when I returned 5 minutes later some parents were happily watching their young child destroy them all! I don't understand why anybody would not pull their child into line for this sort of behaviour it makes you wonder what kind of adult they will grow up into..
What a lovely collection of fungus

I get really cross about this sort of behaviour. Can't understand it at all. Love the picture btw

@fbailey Thanks. It is annoying the child I don't suppose new any different but you would think the parents would have at least pulled him into line.

Great capture and details before it was too late.

I agree. The parents come back with, "oh, they are just being kids"....yeah, behaving as they teach them to. Nice shot, and sounds like a timely one.

Lucky you got this great shot before all that lovely fungi was destroyed.

A beautiful capture, and sad that people can destroy nature without a thought ;-(

Oh they are beautiful. How sad that parents don't control their kids, or teach them about the countryside.

Lovely - but surely parents should teach their kids respect for nature!

That's such a shame :(

No sense of responsibility! And what values is that child now learning? Shocking. You did manage a good picture with great autumn colours.

Agree absolutely! They are such lovely and unusual life forms and to destroy such an arresting sight is so wrong.
