The first fire...
The newly installed main fire in the house, the one that powers the heating, lit for the first time today! After two and a half years we have central heating again, hurrah! Tonight all the rooms in the house are warm!

we're hardy country folk so we managed in the cold quite well - the UK had the two coldest winters for a while at the same time we were without heating and over the winters we used little electric bar heaters in the bedrooms and managed without everywhere else! It's nice to have a warm house throughout again!
@roachling OMG and I'm cold when it's 29 degree Celcious in the house. but I do remember when I was still living in Hamburg Germany we only had heat in the livingroom..prrr....
