The very first Hen Harrier Day by roachling

The very first Hen Harrier Day

570 people turned up to Join Mark Avery and Chris Packham at the Derwent Dam, in the pouring rain as the remnants of ex-hurricane Bertha passed over us, to show support for our Hen Harriers

Please see my blog post for more about this, or even better, watch the video - 15 minutes long, but time well spent in my opinion. I'm in the video too - just part of the drenched crowd!

Also, apologies for the lack of comments over the last few days - I've been really busy and we're going away for a week tomorrow (Wednesday) so I'll have to catch up when we're back and fill in the blanks in my own project too!
WE know this well:-)

Good shot, especially as a record of the weather

Great crowd shot and a great cause. I'd like to ban all shooting--well, all hunting, trapping and fishing by humans, period. Hope the Hen harriers benefit from this.
