365 Days Wild - Day 246

I noticed a couple of flowers on the cherry tree and was pretty surprised to see them, though I had noted the buds a week or so ago.

Thanks to 365, it just so happens I have a photo of this tree taken every year in March and April for comparison. It usually flowers later in March or sometime in April if it has been cold. I've never seen buds on it before March until this year!

I've spotted a couple of trees with blossom on around my neighbourhood ...... far too early in the season !!

@dizzyd I know... makes me wonder about the knock on effects as the insects are around to pollinate anything so there will likely be reduced crops on some things I'd think! I wonder what this tree will look like this March / April if it's already blossomed in Feb!

I've seen blossom yesterday and today, similar to this. One in the hedgerow and the other on a fallen tree in the orchard. It'll be interesting to see what happens later in the season. Super capture of this very pretty blossom.
