I spent the day on a dragonfly and damselfly identification training day with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. After a morning in the classroom we had an afternoon outdoors looking for damsels and dragons to identify. Of course we didn't limit ourselves to dragonflies, we spotted various other insects too including the wood tiger moth in my photo above.
This evening, I went out on a sunset safari with the Eastern Moors Partnership, looking out for birds on the Peak District moors. There were owls, woodcock, curlews, ring ouzels and nightjars :)
