Technically and artistically, not what I would hope for. A "memory shot" because I never expected to see this, and may never see it again. I was looking for yesterdays eagles and didn't see them. What I did find was this chipmunk swimming across the Basin; a distance of several hundred yards. Looked like he was really working to make headway.
Very cool shot Rob! I've never seen that either! I like the simplicity of the shot and that you filled it all with the water except for the chipmunk. Nicely done!
heavens! I know I've never ever seen a chpmunk swim, either. . .and mine certainly have opportunities galore as my dogs chase them back & forth across our pond
@lyno The closest I've come before this was to see an occasional squirrel mis-judge a jump from tree limb to corn laden feeding island and scramble, dash, swim 2 or 3 feet to shore. He was certainly determined and his cheeks were full of some kind of goody. (Unless he was holding his breath!")
@shirljess Shirley, I had my doubts, but he did make it all the way across!
Last couple of feet and on to the shore he was hidden by leaves so no pics, he definitely made it. Sure looked like he was working hard though!

Thanks. I'm glad he didn't try swimming across yesterday when all the eagles were around!
Thanks, Robin!
Thanks, Leana.
Thanks. I saw another one this morning, peeking out of a tree, but it justn't wasn't the same! ;-)
