Tasmanian high country. by robz

Tasmanian high country.

Cold, bleak and beautiful. Glad to be home though - now to go and check on Stanthorpe high country - probably madly overgrown with green!
Thats different. Wow. Great looking plants. Great scene.

Wonderful mysterious scene with the mist adding just the right element.

@netkonnexion hI - thanks for your comments - I'm glad you liked the Tassie plants - the strange looking ones are apparently a type of Pandanus -not very like the beach ones though. Cheers Rob

Reminds me of what a great place Tassie is, even when it is cold and damp.

Looks so surreal. Fantastic shot and scenery.

It is like an oil painting - wonderful texture.

I love the tonal colours in this...looks rather like a Victorian painting of the "Colonies" (if you'll pardon the expression!)

sorry I haven't been commenting, just checking in quietly..so thank you for the taking me/us along on this journey. And glad you're home safe and this is so atmospheric. Great range of tones to set a moody shot.

@nobled Hi Dorothy - at least this made up for not being able to see Cradle Mt! LOL Thanks for your interest. Cheers

@casablanca Hi Casablance - it was amazing - this is SOOC - except for a tidy up crop. It didn't seem to need anything else! Thanks for your comment.

@woofandweft1 Hi Deborah - I like your suggestion of the Victorian painting of the colonies - so apt! We did see similar things on the walls of some of the historic buildings we visited! Cheers Rob

@granagringa Hi Madeline - Thanks for your kind wishes. We had a marvellous time - saw some beautiful places (Including this one!) and have now arrived home - to lots and lots of mowing of our tracks!! Keep us out of mischief for ages. Cheers.

@taffy Thanks Taffy - the mist was fantastic for this section and for the button grass plains - but unfortunately it also meant that we didn't ever see Cradle Mt. - the star of the area. I do think that these other areas almost made up for it though. Cheers Rob
