Different angles and light 1

Wallabys' jaws have shapes that I find intriguing. Their angles are fascinating and appear so different under different conditions. I tried these two shots for the 52 week challenge involving manual settings.
VERY INTERESTING, NOT EVER SEEN FROM THAT ANGLE, woops apologises for the bold:)

This is my favorite -- it's a wonderful artistic scene, and the golden tones against the black really make it pop.

I agree with Taffy- this is the better of the two. It's very striking with the black background and feels like a sculpture in the way you positioned it. Good shot!

@louisanoffke Hi Sapphire - it seems silly to leave out that big front tooth - but it really looked quite odd in this case. Thanks for having a look! :)

@taffy Thanks for your lovely comment - your advice about using the spot metering has been really handy - it lets me get the black backgrounds. Many thanks Cheers Rob

@olivetreeann Thanks Ann - I really appreciate your comment - I used to be a potter who did weird asymmetric shapes, so I really like to hear that this had the feel of a sculpture! Many thanks Rob

@casablanca Hi Casablanca - they are quite strange when you first see them - they have one very long elongated tooth which protrudes out from the end of the jaw. Very characteristic. Cheers

@sarahlth Hi Sarah -thank you for your comment. I'm finding it is a good challenge though - makes you think. And it's good to have the full list of topics at the beginning. I'll watch out for yours! Cheers

@stimuloog Hi Marloes - I think that's why I like it too - those lovely curves - your dancer looked like an angle to me! Cheers
