This is for the composite challenge with the theme of "Darkness" It uses 5 images of our lounge room. It is also (hopefully) fitting the requirements for the theme of week 42 in the 52 week challenge. This was a technique challenge involving Shutter Drag. I had no idea what this was - some research suggested it is quite a sneaky method which allows you to take an image which uses the flash to highlight a major point of interest while also using a shutter time which allows some detail of the surrounding darkened areas to be appreciated. Unfortunately my camera cannot do this so this is a manual combination of two images which hopefully achieves the same end result. https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/32193/composite-11-starts-today
This is really cool- I feel like I'm peeking into a low window watching this fellow watch his tv! Excellent composite work Rob! And I think it fits your darkness theme quite well too.
@casablanca Hi Casablanca - and I even asked Errol if I could take his photo - not too keen to start with! It is a homemade panorama which was a bit tricky to organize - and then Errol didn't think the caption was at all funny!! :)
@olivetreeann Why thank you Ann - I appreciate your lovely comment. I had to make the window from a part of a door but it must have worked because what you have said is exactly what I was aiming for. Thanks very much.
@madeinnl A stalker candid shot - what a really funny idea - I can just imagine a stalker climbing around in the dark through our bush to catch this!! He's be lucky to not fall over the cliff... LOL
A superb composite! It is so realistic and it does give the viewer the stalker effect peeking into the window.
Very well done and, while Errol may not like the caption - I think it fits the photo perfectly (and gives a six word story!)
Thank you for entering the challenge.
@sarahlth LOL Sarah - I just finished asking Errol how many song titles he thought I might know - His reply was "None!" He suggested I google "Triple J Top 100 2018" - that should gave a bit of variety - all modern stuff but that probably doesn't matter. So - I agree - not a good week!
@rosie00 Hi Lesley - thanks for your comment. It was fun to make. I have an old editing program called "Digital Image Pro". It lets you easily overlay images and then make unwanted parts on any image disappear by using a "Transparency Brush" So this was just lots of images overlaid and then adjusted. The nicely lit Errol was then yet another image. It is quite addictive once you start playing with it!! Cheers Rob
