I don't know what a flag flower is (or I didn't before you showed us on) but the color is dramatic and not often found in nature in that grayish tone and the droplets add interest.
Hi FB and Junko-thank you so much for your responses. I thought i better explain that this is the modified colour - it is much more demure here than it is normally - it is actually a rich, bright purple with a bright yellow centre. They really stand out in the Aussie bush. Cheers Rob
@sangwann Thank you so much Dione - you made my day!! Apparently the split tones, with warm at the front and cool at the back, is supposed to increase the depth of the image. So your comment is so much appreciated a that was what I was aiming at. Many thanks Rob Z
@fr1da Thanks Frida - Before I used this as an experiment for the split tones the mauve was the true bright purple of the Flag Flower. They are quite stunning in the forest.
