batplants

Wendy, my get-pushed partner fro the week challenged me to go for a walk without my camera and identify an item or several items of photographic interest and then return to capture it or them. The Bat-Plant put up his hand and the plan was to have a series of 5 shots showing the gradual opening of one flower. It seemed a good idea at the time!! This was the end result of a very busy week....
@farmreporter I'm sorry Wendy - this is a pretty poor response to your challenge - and it was such a good idea to play with! Half of the shots ended up on another computer in another town!! And, I just noticed that this is sideways!! LOL - I'll turn it around. Cheers Rob

Does that mean they live by the Batcave? You have me humming the theme now.....!!
Saw your message on the other shot.......you're moving?? I never saw that coming! When your life is less frenetic, drop me a line. Would love to know how you're doing.

Looks fascinating. Those long white threads look like they can grab you at any moment.

Never seen anything like them. I wouldn’t know if it was upside down or sideways. I think both photos are interesting.

I think this is a marvelous response for your challenge. I am so sorry - I did not realize how busy you were otherwise I would not have given you a challenge that required going out twice.
Oops!!

@farmreporter Lol Wendy - i thought it was a great challenge and it would have had a better result if I had been just a little more organized - I had taken 5 consecutive shots - which I never would have done otherwise! Not to worry - I'll have another go next time he flowers. Thanks for making me consciously look around! Cheers Rob

Thanks everybody for your comments on the Bat Plant. It truly is an amazing thing - Asian in origin apparently and supposedly hard to grow. I bought this one at a deceased estate auction - because I liked the pot it was in. It was just a whole lot of dead leaves. It came good with water and turned into this!! And it's never looked back - tough as nails too! Gotta love a good auction! Cheers Rob
