IR exp #6

Using the macro setting...
interesting effect - love the colours :)

That is an interesting methodical serie. Some of the results I like, and some I don't, and I am not really able to explain why. I suppose that our brain is loosing its marks when the colours are too far from what we would expect, and that on the other side, some selected colours may have a more comforting effect than the real ones. For example, I like the pink in #5 but not in #6, probably because #6 does not look like a scene that can be pink in nature, while #5 is a man made environment that could have artificial lighting. Even if I like the composition of the flowers with the tiny spider in #6. But that is just a guess. My preferred ones are #1,3 and 5.

I find the IR so interesting. Is it a filter ?
or do you have to buy a special IR camera ?

@fr1da Hi Frida - this is a new to me (second hand!) camera which had been converted to IR - it will only take IR photos. It's huge fun! :)

@etienne Hi Etienne - thanks so much for your feedback. I really appreciate how you have considered each result and commented on it. Most of the images have had to be processed at least a little as the sooc images tend to be underexposed and not have a high contrast. That's because of the Aperture Control settings that the seller suggested I use and that he had preset for me. However, once I change out of that setting eg into "macro" or "portrait" or "landscape" it produces some really interesting results - not all of which are very appealing! The two pink results are examples - they were both pretty much SOOC. Strangely I sort of like both - they appeal to my liking of surreal images..... Cheers Rob

@olivetreeann LOL Ann _ I know pink isn't your favourite colour - not mine either - but somehow i quite liked this. It's pretty much sooc from the IR camera. :)

@koalagardens Hi Katrina - funnily enough this is nearly sooc from the IR camera - it's a different setting and it behaves quite differently to the preset aperture exposure that was on it when I got it from the man who converted it. :)

@golftragic Hi Marnie - apparently it does pink - very pink!- when I chose a setting other than the preset aperture exposure. :)
