Perfect for the cat trap.... by robz

Perfect for the cat trap....

We still haven't caught the feral cat killing our wildlife - we've changed from food as bait for the trap to bundles of feathers. The theory is that this cat hunts for fun not for food, so we are trying a fluffy, moving model of a bird - one that moves in the breeze and has lots of interesting tempting feathers etc. No luck yet though....
super capture - fav

That sounds pretty awful that the wildlife is being killed! A beautiful shot with lovely reflections. Hope it does the magic trick.

The warm tones and the reflection make an interesting image from that mundane object.

I hope you catch the problem, for the sake of the wildlife's right to life. Pretty feather picture.

You need an armchair Rob, he wouldn't resist that!. I do hope you catch it though, not a nice thought for the poor wildlife.

Don't get me started on feral cats!! We have relocated almost 20 of them. We used tuna fish or chicken- but the thing that really attracted them? Catnip. I hope you catch yours- they're only doing what comes naturally but when they're good hunters it's not good for any other birds or small critters! Nice feather shot!

Fav. Such a beautiful shot. Where is this happening? There is an escaped black panther somewhere in Italy and it has been lose for days. Seems they cannot trap it. I've seen this on RAI tv.

@olivetreeann Hi Ann - thanks for the wishes re the cat - no luck so far though. I might have to give your catnip suggestion a go! :)

@robz It's very appealing to them- sort of like candy- and the other plus is if you put enough in they're very mellow when you go to move the cage. (i. e. they're feelin' really good like they're high!)

@olivetreeann LOL Anne - a high feral cat - what a funny thought!! :)
