After a long, stressful process we finally managed to regain possession of this small rental cottage. Two months later, with all the rubbish removed, all the interior stripped out, weeks of cleaning, a new bathroom and kitchen installed, new paint, new carpet, new tiles, new blinds, new lights and a renovated yard - it's finished!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi Jackie - it's an incredibly long story and quite sad in a way - but yes - the house was eventually vacated in a dreadful state. We found a new place for our original tenant ( 21 years in the house) and then managed to get rid of the dreadful hoarder who had insinuated himself into the house after the death of the original tenant's wife. I wouldn't wish it on anybody! But it's all nice and clean and new now, so hopefully all will be well. :)
@onewing And what a relief to have it all over and done with! We now have two lovely young men living in there - they even offered to put in the new letterbox - which was the last job to be done. :)
Hi Jane, Marnie, Diana, Joy and Katrina. Thanks for your understanding - this little house is on the block next to our house - we built it many years ago and rent it out. It's in a nice spot and we have had some lovely tenants over the years. The poor old chap who was there had been there 21 years but things went really badly for him when his wife died - he let a dreadful man (a hoarder and compulsive liar) move in with him - it was very sad really. We found somewhere for him to go in a senior's community and then finally managed to get rid of the other man. What a drama! :) @jgpittenger@golftragic@ludwigsdiana@koalagardens@joysabin
@eudora Thanks Diane - it was all quite unpleasant but over and done now - it's nice to have the little house looking good again. Thanks for your interest. :)
