@onewing Thanks Babs - the little camera is actually quite well supplied with different settings. It's pretty amazing what they can do with technology these days. :)
@etienne Hi Etienne - thanks for your comment. This is a photo of the reproductive fronds of a Staghorn fern. This photo was actually the starting point for the "blue and silver" abstract a few days ago.
@jgpittenger Thanks so much for your kind words Jane - having so many days at home has been not too bad - all the odd jobs around the house and yard have been done and it's been fun to play with the camera each day. We also have a new grandson - Hamish Noah - 2 weeks old and gorgeous! And we're staying healthy (so far) - so life is pretty good really, even in these bad times. I hope you are still staying well? Could you please just get rid of Trump - he's proving a bit of a disaster with the virus?
@robz if I could get rid of him I would in a flash! Do you actually get to be with your grandson and hold him and smell him and cuddle? We are thankfully still well...obsessive about all the self and other protection measures and grateful for a governor that is not in a hurry to stop the stay at home order. Jim lost two grandparents, one to each of his parents while they were very young, in the 1918 flu pandemic and has lingering high levels of anxiety. He is rarely anxious so to see the impact on him is somewhat sobering
Love how the duotone emphasizes the light falling on the fronds. Besides alleviating boredom, you will come away with a bit of knowledge about which dials are worth remembering and which to forget. Thanks for joining our darkroom challenge.
