I like your winter serie so far. I understand it as an eotb exercize on the shapes of drying weeds. I appreciate how you use the camera focus and/or the contrast of lightened weeds vs a dark background in order to enhance the weed backbones, with very little use of colours. It works both with or without IR. This is such a completely different way of looking at plants than when we are shooting the plump shapes and the colours of summer flowers for example.
@etienne I do appreciate your thoughtful feedback Etienne. We have so many differently shaped grasses etc that I find I can wander around with either the IR camera or the little Canon and catch them in so many different formats. The IR camera is good for focussing on the shapes - because it removes the colour - as you commented. But it is hard to focus - so the Canon is good to give the colour with the very dark or very light background. I nearly always use it on the spot metering setting to allow lots of options. So many options - what a great hobby! Thanks for your continued interest - it is always wonderful to hear from you. Cheers Rob
