Winter #1

QuartPot Creek when it's being polite. When it's not it floods the houses overlooking it!
Being polite? Looks dry! What an invitation, tho, to follow that path. Nice lines.

Such a contrast- it hardly looks like it needs a bridge at this stage. But I know what Spring can do to a sleepy waterway. Good shot.

My memory of Australian rivers are that they don't have any water in LOL I still remember when we visited Alice Springs and they showed us the bone dry river bed through the town where they run The Boat Race every year with "boats" made out of beer cans and other such fun things. Then they told us they had had to cancel it a few years back because it had rained and there was water in the river.......

Inviting curve but I wouldn't want to live nearby if it floods!

@casablanca What a great story Casablanca - and so typical of many of our rivers. Alice is definitely a place that makes memories. Our son Nathan worked there for a very months when he first graduated. He found it fascinating but he also found the health problems of some of the aboriginal people to be confronting. Many of the older people could not understand how or when to take their medications - and they couldn't really understand very well what he was trying to tell them. And the river was very dry when we went to visit - looked like a great place to camp! LOL
