Beautiful Bagara by the sea #2

Pandanus palms in many areas in the South of Qld have been attacked by an insect which has spread downwards from its natural territory in North Qld. Unfortunately, the wasp which keeps it under control in the North hasn't made it down the coastline. Dead pandanus are a sad sight.....
Oh they are. I must investigate my beaches!!

Such a pity about the wasps, still a stunning capture.

Oh heck, that's devastating. An introduced insect?

That is a sad sight- the IR makes it look like the aftermath of a nuclear meltdown. I hope they can coax that wasp to move on as well to counteract the destruction of these trees. Still a good shot as sad as the reason for the condition is.

How sad - but they make some fantastic shapes, especially in IR

Such an intense sense of drama, accentuated by the infrared. Fav
