Lovely setting; grand place for hiking about.
Macaws: yes, most definitely clever. I have to be on guard all the time that mine doesn't pull a sneaky trick on me, like stealing my cleaning tag and taking it back behind his cage, or slipping out of the bird room and sneaking off to the kitchen where he opens a cupboard and gets in. His tail is so long, it's often the only thing left sticking out, which of course gives away his hiding place. ;)
@jgpittenger Hi Jane - we've been exploring our own state. At the moment our borders are closed which means its easier to move around and enjoy the sights without as many people. It makes you appreciate what you have!! I hope the fires in your area have been brought under control - they are so devastating - and scary! Regards Rob
@lyndemc LOL Denise - he must be amazing to have living with you. It's too easy to forget how clever birds can be - and how funny! Thanks for the info on your fellow - I'll look out for more photos of him. :)
@spanner Hi Spanner - it's definitely worth a visit. We were in our van so stayed at the caravan park at Dingo. It's quite basic but the owners are lovely and it's only a short drive to the turn off to the Tableland. There is a N.P. camp ground too - but it's pretty dry and basic too. Cheers Rob
