Museum of Old and New Art. MY absolute favourite - a huge room dedicated to optical illusions, created by multiple reflections of brightly lit transparent squares. The room is partly filled with black engine oil to produce an incredible 3D effect. You can participate by either walking out into the room on a metal walkway or participate from galleries.
@casablanca Hi Casablanca - I think you would love the whole of MONA - it has such random, different things with pretty much no sense of political or social "correctness" - all just "art" which appealed to the billionaire, eccentric, private owner. Fascinating if a bit shocking in places. :)
@ludwigsdiana Me neither Diana - that's why this was taken from the gallery. Apparently it's quite mind-altering out on the little jetty - people get the feeling that they can just reach over and touch the oil - even though it's quite a few metres below them!
