The Bat plants flower again.. by robz

The Bat plants flower again..

Many years ago I bought a large pot at an auction. It had a "dead" plant in it. I took it home and forgot about it for a while. It rained. The dead plant came to life and flowered!!
It was a Bat Plant.
Some research told me that it was very exotic, very hard to keep alive and on no account should it be split up as it would never flower again. Oh - and I could buy one from this helpful person for $80!
Well, they grow like mad, become huge, outgrow their pots, need to be cut into little pieces with an axe, and every small part of each bulb will grow like mad and flower in the next few years!!
Is it a native species?? It is an unusual looking flower, youncojld set Up a nursery

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi Jackie - I don't think they are natives - come from Asia somewhere I believe. It's always a bit exciting when they flower. :)
