Small things #4 by robz

Small things #4

Growing in semi-shade on a plum branch, rather than in the sun on an old post. So, a bit different to his cousins out there... Pretty much SOOC - except for the frame. :)
Nice

I am enjoying this series, Rob. It gives real insights into thingswe don't always look closely enough at.

I share the same thoughts as Suzanne.

Nice pic👍😊

Hi Suzanne and Bill. It's so nice to hear that you are liking these. Since discovering the "Micro-Macro" setting on the camera these sort of shots have become much more achievable. The camera actually has a small auxiliary light that comes into play with this setting - it makes a huge difference.
Thanks again for your feedback and encouragement - I'll keep looking. :)

Lovely image, well captured

Lovely details and shot. Sometimes I illuminate such shots with a headlamp or a smartphone. I keep the light quite far away and to the side from the object so that it only slightly illuminates the scene.

Got to love a good lichen

@olivetreeann Thanks for your comment Ann. It's interesting to discover how many different sorts there are! And in so many different places! :)

Hi everybody and thanks for your feedback - your comments re this funny, weird lichen were wonderful. It's the first time I've noticed him - there are so many around after the rain - it's been fabulous searching for them. Thanks for enjoying these ...

Hi Haskar. Thanks so much for your suggestion. I'll keep that in mind and try it on the straight "macro" setting. That one doesn't have isn't own built-in auxillary light source like the "Micro/Macro" setting. I have a head light so that would be an easy one to try - maybe it would be a good trial in overcast situations. Thanks again for you suggestion - I really appreciate it. Cheers Rob @haskar
