Whiskey grass. by robz

Whiskey grass.

Whiskey grass is a weed here. In winter it has curly, dry fronds which were used as packing for whiskey bottles being imported from England - hence its appearance here. It also has tall rusty coloured seeding stalks. The combination of textures produced this image when swooped..
Wow, this is stunning! Great colours and movement. Fav.

This is really great and I wonder how you and the others are doing it. I tried moving a little, too, but it always got unrecognizable.

@toinette Hi Marie - they are a bit tricky - more often than not what you catch is useless. I've found that an exposure time of between about 1/30 sec and 1/5 sec seems to give you time to do a little swoop or swirl and catch something which still has some shape. I can only do them in shadow areas because my camera doesn't allow much input. It also seems to help if you start moving before your click. You might have to fix the exposure afterwards in an edit. You'll delete a lot!! Good fun though. Cheers.
