Waiting to board. by robz

Waiting to board.

The Spirit of Tasmania allows passengers, cars, trucks and caravans to cross from Melbourne to Devenport in Tasmania ( The fare is actually subsidized by the Gov - $480 per car per return crossing That leaves $ 800 extra to pay). It is a full day or full night to cross over. The weather can be quite fierce. We were lucky that it was quite calm on our crossing - no need for the sea sickness tabs!.
Great perspective and colours, very striking:)

That's an impressive looking ship, especially the way you've caught it.

Good to hear you had such a smooth crossing. Bass Strait can be real monster, I spent one entire crossing driving the great white truck.

@taffy Thanks Taffy - it is impressive - hard to fit it all in the photo - very professionally organized too - from walk on pedestrians to monster trucks, they handle them all with aplomb. Cheers
