The top photo was sooc for the coffee challenge. I liked the pattern but it did seem a bit dull. The auto contrast produced the bottom photo. The photo seemed to come to life - it was interesting to see what had happened to the histogram.....
@bintal Hi Sylvia - it's been very interesting learning about the histogram changes and how the changes relate to the changes in the photo. Thanks for your comments.
I wouldn't know what I was looking for with histograms so tend not to look! The auto contrast has certainly brightened it up and brought out the detail
@suzanne234 Hi Suzanne - The old editing program I use relies on these quite a lot - it took a long time to actually figure out how to use them. I think the new programs use sliders instead? Probably much easier!! :)
