@sarahlth Hi Sarah - thanks for having a look and commenting. It was quite sad to see the farm being sold off - it was one of the original settlements in our area.
@farmreporter Thanks so much for your congratulations Wendy. It's so encouraging to have my photo chosen as a finalist. I had to take this photo without being too obvious - it was a pretty interesting group of people. It was actually surprising how well the photo caught the atmosphere. Thanks again for your comment. @farmreporter This was the first one of these I had been to. A lot of the farms in our area are being bought by chinese corporations. They have a lot of resources and buy up several farms to amalgamate. Unfortunately many of the family farms are going this way they just can't compete.

This photo was particularly poignant for me since I am a farmer and quite familiar with these auctions. Always a sad day ...
