In your dreams.. by robz

In your dreams..

This shot is for the flashofred theme. My camera is nice but relatively simple. It simply could not take this photo. That's OK - I think this hobby has two components - photographic and IT. The basic photo is SOOC - the moon is an addition afterwards.
Magical .. is that an elf I can see ?!

I really like this, very striking - i think id crop it down a little bit more on the right hand side , to me that would help make the circle effect stand out more. Fav

Looks like something right out of a Halloween night -- intriguing and mysterious.

@carvl Drat - you were quite right Caroline - and checking the edges is something I'm supposed to be working on!! Thanks for your feedback - another set of uninvolved eyes is wonderful. :)

@taffy Thanks Taffy - it was taken in colour but did become more interesting in b&w. Your comment made me think that I could use it as a base for a Halloween photo for the composite challenge. Will google what is found at Halloween. Many thanks Rob :)

Fairies and elves...these is wonderful sense to this...at first I thought it might be a bit of zoomburst working here...I think the 4.5mm makes it almost fish-eye...very cool and lovely shot.

Post processing can be just as much a part of the photographic process as snapping the shutter. Sometimes it's part of your plan, and other times it comes when you look at the photo in your computer and want to do something more with it. So no matter what way you started or what you added later, you came up with an excellent image. Very intriguing!

@granagringa H Madelaine - you are so right - it is the fish-eye setting on my camera - but I had no idea of the focal size - I get no say in all of that so I've never bothered to worry about it. Probably not a good idea for the learning curve. Thanks for making me look! Cheers Rob :)

@olivetreeann Thanks very much Ann - I am really pleased to read your comment - I sometimes wonder whether I should say how much or how little post processing has been done. It it's virtually nothing I usually say that it's SOOC - mainly to give myself a pat on the back for improving!! LOL :)
