@robz Much the same here, and our central heating has gone on the blink. Be fixed next Tuesday but I went and bought a small oil heater to take the chill off the air and it's doing a remarkably good job.

@golftragic Would there be much difference in cost - the oil heater Vs the central heating? We just have a wood burner up here - and were lucky enough to buy a very well insulated house.

If you tried to heat the house with oil heaters it'd cost a small fortune. The central heating wasn't too bad till the whole gas market was stuffed up, now it's much dearer. But I'm too old to be cold! And wood costs a bomb down here so that's not a viable solution.
