Helmet Orchid

This is another small, native ground orchid. They grow in the same areas as the Gnat Orchids. They have the same leaf structure (that green,heart shaped structure is it's leaf) and are also very small - as seen by the size of the ring. They are only visible during winter - they exist a small bulbs for the rest of the year.

@fbailey @suzanne234 @golftragic Hi FB, Suzanne and Marnie - thanks for your interest and comments. These are the funniest little things - it took us years to discover that they were orchids. There is also one which has a totally red helmet - but it only lives in West Australia. Cheers Rob
