LHG_1218 Matriach of Mushrooms

Doing some yard work today clearing down ally agnus bushes and found the huge mushroom underneath the growth. Its the size of a cabbage head. Brown thick ruffles feels rubbery. According to one of my nature photographer friends it is a Trametes versicolor or common polypore mushroom commonly called Turkey tail which may come in a variety of colors.
this is so brilliant - I'm a huge shroom lover and there is so much to love here!
