I had a chance to stop by Yogi Berra's childhood home, after work. A charming shrine, to an American baseball legend, recently passed away. His niece was on the porch, poor thing (so tired, but very cheerful). What an amazing life he experienced. As I was taking a few pictures, it was so fun to see folks stopping by, snapping shots and doing "selfies."
It 'ain't over, 'till it's over"... but it's over now. :(

Baseball is a little less interesting today. I'm a huge Yankees fan, and we knew this was coming, he's not been well the last couple of years, but it's still sad.
Ah yes, we drove by the other night too - lots of others doing the same. We have a friend that's always saying "yogi-like" things without meaning too. We call her Yogi Jr. He was quite a guy.
I am a Yankee fan. I grew up in the days of Mantle, Maris, Ford and Berra to name a few. While Yogi was overshadowed by the home run hitting of Mantle, Yogi had some very respectable statistics:
358 Home runs
1,430 RBIs
.285 Batting average.
