Hunchback by rosiekerr

Hunchback

Another view of my empty locust shell. @lizhammond suggested that a frontal view might be interesting, so I obliged, especially as I am not seeing anything else of interest today.

This is a 10 shot, focus-stacked, image (but there are so many bumpy areas, that I still missed some focus spots), shot on a reflective acrylic surface.

I really like how the little critter's shell looks like the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Thanks so much for taking time to visit... I really appreciate it.
@lizhammond A frontal view, for you. Thanks for suggesting this!

Wow thank you, I didn't mean to put you to all that effort focus stacking, but it has worked out well. I really like how you are using the reflections to such good effect. I have to fav :-)

Fantastic work Rosie! It looks quite mean and menacing there whereas we have always liked playing with them.

I'm glad they are small in real life, as they would be terrifying if they were bigger! Great shot.
