Where I Wish I Was

The beach.

It's 100 degrees (38 celsius) in St. Louis today. :(

Thanks, Monty Lov, from Unsplash, for the dreamy beach shot. Click on the black box, above, to see more of his work. Feet by me. Effects by Photoshop.
I love the beach. But will wait until it's a little cooler. Neat composite.

very cool, nicely done

Great processing. It is very hot today where I live. It would be very nice to be at the beach.

Super shot...great sense of scale and great perspective

Smiling (but not laughing as there's nothing funny about 100 degree temps!). Great use of photoshop to create a mood and storyline.

thankfully I am at the beach with the temps at home reaching into the 100's in the next couple days. It's a little cooler here and there's a breeze.

@lesip Sounds divine!

@gerry13 Hi! I used Photoshop to blend 2 pictures into one image. If you know how to use Photoshop, I would be happy to give you an outline of how I did this. If you don't know how to use Photoshop (or GIMP), then the explanation may not be helpful. Please let me know if you want me to give a more detailed explanation - I would be happy to try.

Love the way you've done this shot, very clever and looks very good.

@golftragic Wish it were so. :)

@rosiekerr Know what you mean, 100 degrees is no fun at all, especially if you have humidity too. It was 2 degrees Celsius here this morning.

Fabulously done

Very clever merging of two photos -- and I've yet to learn Photoshop but some day I'll ask how you did this! The beach scene is enticingly swirly and the colors wonderful . . . and the feet look stylishly sensible!
July 12th, 2017
Wonderfully done.

Brilliant composition and colours. I wish too, in this wintry cold day.
July 12th, 2017
What a great pov! Well done!
July 12th, 2017
@rosiekerr thank you for your kindness.Yes i'm quite familiar with photoshop and i do know how to blend 2 pictures together.I was asking, because the result is very convincing, and because the colours are great-almost surreal :)

great pov and shot

The beach is the best place to be 🙂
July 12th, 2017
Had no idea you merged two photos!! Such a convincing and fun edit.

@gerry13 Oh, OK - I downloaded the beach picture from unsplash.com. They have free high resolution photos that you can do whatever you want with. Then I took a photo of my feet up the air. I put them on layers, feet on top. Resized the feet to fit the scene. I selected the feet and brushed on a layer mask to keep only the feet and remove their background. Viola! :)

Very effective - nicely done :-)

You've made this (and your explaining text) to a wonderful and very appealing comp!
