The Gateway Arch National Park has undergone a facelift. After a four year rehab, it is now open for visitors again. We had family in town this week, so perfect timing for a visit.

Here is a view from the top, showing the new park grounds and the shadow of the arch.

If you want to visualize this on a map, here you go: https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Gateway+Arch/@38.624691,-90.1847763,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x79ed2889c696a834!8m2!3d38.624691!4d-90.1847763

The circles in the center mark the entrance to the new underground museum.

The arch is 630 feet tall and 630 feet wide at the base. Lots of history here, perched on the banks of the Mississippi River.
Very impressive from your high pov, love the sweeping lines.

In 1990 (!) I rode to the top of the arch. There really wasn’t anything there except the arch, I think. It is quite an iconic structure for St Louis!
