Approaching The Starting Gate

After we went to the Mississippi River flood wall for Paint Louis, we went across the river to Fairmount Park, to watch the horses run. Monday was an excellent "photography" day. :)

Here is a lively fellow, approaching the starting gate for the first race of the afternoon. He didn't win, though - maybe burned off too much energy before the race!
