This shot resulted from a lucky break and clearing weather in the skies last night, which had been very cloudy with snow falling for most of the day. Before going to bed, I ducked out to check and was pleased to see a clear view, so I quickly set up the tripod and did my best in the freezing cold. You can even see some stars out there; tiny dots of white light.
It was fun to see. I didn't do a lot of editing to this shot, by the way. Unlike my composite eclipse creation of a few days ago, this one was entirely created by Mother Nature. Possibly better on black, if you are so inclined.

I am so jealous. When the eclipse was full, I couldn't even find it in my view finder. Not that I would have been able to take a shot like this. You can see my pitiful photo here: https://365project.org/randystreat/extras/2019-01-21
