I love the poem by William Wordsworth which starts off "I wandered lonely as a cloud" but I also wondered whether to carry on yesterday's song theme so put it down to Mellow Yellow by Donovan (I was a great fan of his many years ago when I was about 15 and loved his curly dark hair and smouldering eyes!). These miniature daffs managed to survive despite the snow and are just outside our front door so it is a reminder that spring is coming to us. I have been to a meeting today to pilot a project to help people Age Well in Ivel Valley (part of Bedfordshire) and I love getting involved with new things but also because I can take my experiience and expertise to the group to help them start to make a difference to older people whether it is by helping them to socialise in somewhere other than day centres (which are well past their sell by date!) or with things such as getting the right benefits, transport issues, etc. I have been round the small town to ask shopkeepers to put up an advert for a Village Agent which is a lovely job and we hope to recruit someone locally so it was nice to meet the shopkeeprs, hairdressers, local garage, etc. Fingers crossed that we can attract someone with the right attitude and skills. Sorry that I have fallen behind with commenting on everyone else's pics and thanks to everyone for looking at mine and giving such nice comments.
