For the challenge today, I'm cheating as I took this a few weeks ago but it does fit with the title which is darkness! This is a pic of the Embankment in Bedford at night showing St Paul's Church in the background near to the town bridge. Bedford's claim to fame is John Bunyan who wrote Pilgrim's Progress and he spent time in Bedford Gaol as it was known then. A bit different to the prison or jail that is here now! I have been to Ampthill today where it is rumoured House Beautiful is situated (now ruined) on top of Ampthill Hill. For anyone who has not read Pilgrim's Progress, House Beautiful is one of the places John Bunyan mentions in the book.
