I haven't had much time today as my car went in for service and I was due to collect it at 2.30pm as arranged. I quickly took a few shots as I left the office before getting into the courtesy car they had lent me and this is one of them. it wasn't a particularly good shot as I took a few minutes to find him in amongst the branches and I could hear him singing so clearly! This was a better shot than the ones I got of him with his beak open. He was all fluffed up trying to keep warm. It was freezing and I didn't have all my gloves on so I didn't hang about. Anyway, when I got to the garage at 2.30pm my car wasn't ready (surprise surprise!). I sat there for an hour and three quarters and read the paper from cover to cover. I was a bit annoyed to tell the truth as I could have been at home getting the fire laid and lit.
@landownunder Thanks Denis - the car was just in for a routine service but the garage were not being very reliable. They shouldn't have agreed that I could pick my car up at 2.30pm if they weren't going to have it ready!
@sabanford@boogie@tishpics@streetlyend@busylady@carolmw Thanks for your great comments. Funnily enough I bought some cards yesterday to make a birthday card for a friend so I now know that I can make Christmas cards with my robin pics. Our friend's birthday card was of a robin because he loves the birds too
This makes me think of a verse about the robin and the cold where the lines end 'poor thing'. I can imagine I would have been not too pleased either at having to wait for the car all that time.
