I went for a walk around Priory this afternoon and saw this young heron sitting in a tree hoping to do some fishing. He was about 10 foot away from where I was standing on the main path. He turned round in different directions looking for fish but I think he was a bit high up really. His parents need to do a bit more teaching I think although he looks very healthy. He's still slightly fluffy but is developing well. It was difficult getting a good shot though because of the branches in the tree but it was lovely to see him.

Oh what a fabulous capture Rosie!! So close!! I will definitely be paying the Priory a visit sometime soon (well when my feet feel a bit better anyway) Now I know where there are herons - here I come!! LOL!! Fav by the way!!
