I wasn't as successful today with my bird shots and it was exceedingly windy when I had a walk along Wood Lane. I tried to get some shots of a robin singing high in a conifer tree. It took me ages to actually find him among the branches and when I did the wind kept blowing them in front of him so out of probably 10 shots, only 2 were half decent and they weren't brilliant. Anyway, as I walked back this collared dove flew across and sat in a tree so I got a couple of shots of her instead.
The weather forecasters have warned us all to batten down the hatches as it is going to be extremely windy between Sunday and Monday with trees and structural damage expected. It gives me a real fear that the neighbour's trees might blow down over our house and if it gets really bad, we shall move Bas and his cage out of the conservatory as we don't want anything to happen to him. We shall just have to wait and see. I dread it! Gale force winds always keep me awake at night imagining what is going on outside.

She's very pretty - something has been eating ours - just piles of feathers left... We are surrounded by really big trees and most still have leaves on - we've had one from next door crash through the fence and block the back door in the past but that was relatively small. Feeling a bit tense about my relatives in Sussex - glad mum and dad are in an apartment now - plenty of neighbours.
