I thought I would save this one for a rainy day so here it is. This duck was taking off across the main lake at Priory. The day I took this was one of those rare sunny days and the light was perfect. I wish it could look like that today. It has been raining all night and all day so far. We shall be venturing out into Bedford for our sins later. The curry is all ready to go in the oven so that it will be cooked when we get back. I must remember to get the naan bread though. Perhaps now I've typed the word, I'll remember. Do you find that if you write a word down you remember it even though you don't take the paper it's written on with you? Strange isn't it!

Great capture! Which Priory are you talking about as far as the location? My husband was stationed at RAF Chicksands in Bedfordshire back in the 1980s and there was a priory on the base. with lots of geese, ducks and swans on the river that ran next to it.
