The sun was shining when I went along to Ridgmont Station. The station has been renovated and brought back into use by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity who I work for and there is a tea room and shop inside the building. Upstairs are 3 offices which are rented out. I got talking to 4 ladies who work for a new charity which they have set up called "Women in Mind". It is a charity funded by Lottery money to help women who are suffering from mental health problems and is as a result of our local NHS mental health services reportedly being very poor. I hope they do well as people experiencing mental health problems often don't meet the criteria for help from the NHS which is really appalling. I promised them that I would ensure that I would publicise their work especially with any clients I deal with who may be suffering or have families suffering with mental health problems.
