I've been thrilled to see so many baby birds in our garden today. The great tits were the first to appear and the parents have been feeding them all day long although they are quite good at trying to feed themselves. This little fellow sat looking at me through the kitchen window when he was perched on the washing line.
It's been a horrible wet day and quite cold so I hope they haven't felt too cold after leaving their lovely warm nest box on the side of the silver birch tree in the back garden. The nest box was made by my Dad many years ago. It's so nice to think they have made good use of it.
