After the digging

The robins were soon pecking around in the garden as I had dug the other half of the vegetable patch. It doesn't take them long to come round to see what bugs and worms they can find. This is the adult but I also saw one of the young ones (probably the last brood) as the youngster had only just started to get his red breast and it looked more like a bib than a breast.

Sorry I've been a bit behind with my commenting. Last night I went to the pub with Steve as the Old Geezer Band played their debut evening at the Three Cups in Bedford. I shall put a collage in my Bits & Bobs album

lovely colours - they evolved to follow wild boars as they worked through the forests and find what got turned up - gardeners are now good replacement wild boars
